Burntwood Rotary Club switched on the Christmas tree of Lights at Swan Island on Sunday 24th November which was a successful night to meet Santa and enjoy Hollygrove Primary Academy School Choir of over 30 children singing on what was a cold but very enjoyable night President Colin was delighted with the turnout and present a cheque for £500 to Kathy from the Pathway Project. Thank you to everyone who joined us on a special night.

Burntwood Rotary Club supported Royal British Legion in raising a fantastic and record breaking amount of over £17,000 for the Poppy appeal during October and November at Morrisons Superstore Burntwood. A very big Thank you to all the generous support the Burntwood public and shoppers have given to ensure that the work the Royal British Legion do to support our armed forces. Thank you to Morrisons and their staff again in helping us support and thank you to the many volunteers who support Burntwood Rotary. Everyone in Burntwood Rotary is proud of the support to help the Royal British Legion in it's work.

Burntwood Rotary Club have supported Magnolia Friends Burntwood to provide Festive Lunch in December. Colin Burntwood Rotary President said it's brilliant to support Karen at Magnolia Friends and the fantastic work both Karen and the volunteers who help do to support our local community and Dementia.

Burntwood Rotary Club has for a number of years supported the Royal British Legion and the Poppy appeal collecting at Morrisons from the end of October to November raising funds for Royal British Legion and there work to support and commemorate our military services. This year the Club has supported Burntwood Action Group who have transformed Princess Park with a dazzling display of Poppy's of all varieties and sizes. Princess Park is the UK smallest park and Burntwood Rotary Club supported Burntwood Action Group by purchasing £300 of metal Poppy's to plant in the grounds of the park.

Burntwood Rotary club purchase a specialized bed to help child who has special needs. The bed is cushioned on all sides and supports the child who moves consistently whilst sleeping the child's mother was has contacted the club to say how thankful she is that the club supported the need and helped with the purchase of the bed.

Fulfen Primary School (2022)

Burntwood Rotary worked with Fulfen primary school to install a Peace Pole Garden designed by Isabelle, a student at the school. The open event was attended by club members who worked on the garden and Head Teacher Jane Davies.
