Santa Float
From the last week of November, Santa tours Burntwood most evenings on our float, spreading festive cheer and collecting for local causes across the town.
Every year Burntwood Rotary Club kicks off the Christmas season in the last week of November with the annual Christmas Light Switch On and Christmas Market. And we don't wait for December to bring Santa along.
The much-loved Burntwood Rotary Santa Float makes its grand debut on the evening of the Light Switch On at Swan Island, Burntwood. From then until Christmas, Santa and his sleigh tour the streets of Burntwood, Chasetown and the surrounding area most evenings, spreading festive cheer and collecting vital funds for local causes and charities.
The float is run entirely by volunteers: Rotary members, friends and family who give up their winter evenings so Santa can wave to as many children as possible. Check the route below to see when Santa is coming to your street.
Not on the list below? Get in touch and we will let you know if we can add your street, or if you would like to help out on the night.

A few things people ask
Can Santa visit my street?
We try to cover as much of Burntwood as we can each December. Get in touch and we will let you know if we are planning to be near you, or if we can add your street to the route.
Do you collect donations along the route?
Yes, our volunteers collect on the night and every penny goes towards local causes across Burntwood. Everyone involved is a volunteer.
What happens if the float can't run on a scheduled night?
Very occasionally weather or unforeseen circumstances mean we have to reschedule a night. We will post any changes here and on our social media.
