This summer, Burntwood Rotary Club was happy to marshal at Burntwood Town Council’s Play in the Park event at Burntwood Memorial Hall on Monday 17 August.
Play in the Park events are held throughout the summer holidays at different locations. This one was run by Burntwood Town Council and managed by Seventeen43 Events.
A free day out for local families
The events encourage families to bring along a picnic blanket and enjoy free activities such as inflatables, face painting, craft and games. Children can also collect a free picnic lunch.
Why we got involved
Supporting free community events like Play in the Park is exactly what Rotary is about. Days like this give local children somewhere safe and fun to play during the summer holidays, at no cost to their families.
Of course, it was not all hard work. Our members enjoyed a well-deserved cup of tea and a chat with plenty of familiar faces from around the town.
Burntwood Rotary looks forward to supporting the event again in 2027. A big thank you to Burntwood Town Council and Seventeen43 Events for organising such a lovely day.
Like the sound of what we do? Burntwood Rotary meets weekly and we are always happy to welcome new faces. Find out about joining, see more of our community support or look at our upcoming events.
