Christmas Market Donation to St Giles Hospice

Burntwood Rotary presenting a £300 cheque to St Giles Hospice

It was a pleasure to present Charlotte from St Giles Hospice with a cheque for £300 at our meeting on Wednesday 29 April. The money was raised from stall holder fees at the 2025 Christmas Market on Swan Island, Burntwood.

St Giles Hospice provides specialist care and support for people living with serious illness, and for their families, across our part of Staffordshire. Its work depends on the generosity of local communities.

This isn’t the first time Burntwood Rotary has supported St Giles. In February 2025, Rob and Ken presented Selina from St Giles with a cheque from that year’s Christmas Market and Light Switch On collections. This year, the club also gave £350 to St Giles and Christ Church, Gentleshaw, in memory of a long-standing club member.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Christmas Market and supported the stalls. You helped make this possible.

See what’s coming up this Christmas on our Santa Float page and Events page.
